There have been some postings on this subject recently which have been very
useful and I am grateful for the leads to lyman.pppl.gov and csd4.csd.uwm.edu
However, I still have some questions which I hope someone out there can
answer.

1. I have retrieved the PPT_A.ZIP & PPT_B.ZIP files from lyman.pppl.gov
but do not know how to read the unzipped versions which are in Windows
Powerpoint format. What is this format? I have tried emailing
jsm@pheonix.princeton.edu (as mentioned in the documentation files) about
this but my mail just bounces back!

2. There is lots of information about BASIC, Forth and Assembly software
tools for the 8051 but does anyone know of P.D. or commercial C compilers
for the 8051?

3. Can anyone recommend any texts describing the hardware features of the
8051 (registers, i/o interface etc)? I have seen mentioned the I2C bus in
connection with the 8051. Where can I get more info about this? Is it a
serial bus, how does it interface to the 8051, is it pronounced I squared C?

I apologise if there is a FAQ which deals with these questions - please
point me to it - I have searched and found nothing!

Thanks in advance for any help - Dave.
