o.k. a lot of people have said that more info from the
back of the motor would be useful in helping me out.
Also, from most of the responses, I probably have a
stepper motor and not a servo. Well here is the complete
version of what I see when looking at the back:

                        SLO-SYN
                     DRIVING MOTOR
           Type: HS50 Spec:(blank)
              3 V. 4.0 A. D.C. CY.
                 Torque: 85 Oz.In.
                 RPM (blank) @ 60 CY.
            Temp Rise 75 C -Class B insul.

Lastly, it has six wires (same guage) coming from the bottom
(from the same place). It stand four inches high and is
three inches in diameter. When I turn the shaft it does not
make a difinitive clicking noise, but it does seem to move
in set increments. (it's probably a stepper, right)

I want to be able to use this thing but I'm new to this
stuff (sort of). Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks much.
mike
