The original IBM 360K floppy drives are also *GREAT* for robotics parts.
I have taken apart many, and I almost always look for the same drive motor
in my drives. It is about 1.2" in diamter, and about 2" long (from memory)
and has 4 wires (two near the shaft, two on the other end). This is a DC
motor with DC tach-output - great for speed controlled devices. These are
also fairly high torque, and are what I had in my sumou wrestler robot.

It is also filled with various other misc parts, similar to what Rick found
in the Tandy 5000HD 8" disk.

Also, don't forget the great worm-gear found in alot of the old 8" drives...!
