Greetings to all!!!

I have not noticed, over the last several weeks, any mention of Intel's
8051 series microcontrollers or the Signetics derivatives like the 87C751 and
87C752. I guess the reason that the 6811 is so popular has something to do
with the fact there is a good bit of suuport code out there for it. Is this
right?

Hey all you 8051 series users, speak up! Would you like to see a miniboard
type of circuit for intelligent robotic control? The 8051 is ancient (well over
a decade old) and has a VERY large amount of software written for it. Signetics
is trying to spice it up by adding various A/D, PWM etc to make it an ideal
motion controller.

Finally, has anyone used the new Pic 16C5x series 8-bit RISC
Microcontrollers? They look really neat but I am hesitant to test them out with
a rather limited budget. Any responses would be helpful.
