Last week I posted a nasty follow-up to a message posted by
Don Meyer. In the message, I onlyread Don's first name and
wrongly assumed the message was from Don Golding, not Don
Meyer. The content of the message, because I thought it was
from Don Golding, made me mad. So I posted a flaming follow-
up. Later, several "thoughtful" folks pointed out that I was
flaming the wrong Don!

Jeeez, do I feel like a jerk!

So, first, I apologize to Don Meyer. I wrongly flamed you.
This is a shame since I now understand that your message was
actually (apparently) in support of one of my earlier
postings. Thank you.

Second, I apologize to Don Golding for flaming him in public
for something he never said (or wrote).

I apologize to both Dons, and to all comp.robotics newsgroup
participants for this embarrassing mistake!

Lesson to be learned: "If you must flame in public, make
sure you are flaming the right person -- read the full
name!" Now if I can just remember my own rule of thumb ;-)
