Yes. I am sorry for a typo.

Here are the details and some comments from the network:

Haykin
------

Haykin, S. (1994). Neural Networks, a Comprehensive Foundation.
Macmillan, New York, NY. "A very readable, well written intermediate
to advanced text on NNs Perspective is primarily one of pattern
recognition, estimation and signal processing. However, there are
well-written chapters on neurodynamics and VLSI implementation.
Though there is emphasis on formal mathematical models of NNs as
universal approximators, statistical estimators, etc., there are also
examples of NNs used in practical applications. The problem sets at the
end of each chapter nicely complement the material. In the bibliography
are over 1000 references. If one buys only one book on neural networks,
this should be it."

Zurada
------

It looks like we finally have a book available in the academic discipline of
neural networks. "Introduction to Artificial Neural Systems", by J. M. Zurada,
published recently (1992) by West, explains in detail how learning machines
called neural networks work. Comprehensive, fine, unified, lucid exposition and
numerous examples have provided me with a very good understanding and
appreciation for artificial neural systems. I therefore strongly recommend this
book to serious students and neural network modelers. Other strengths of this
book include great figures, complete algorithms (just to be implemented), and a
diskette with software (source code & program compiled for PC),

To save your time, here are the numbers where you could order the book:

Skapura/Freeman
---------------

Neural Networks - Algorithms, Applications and Programming Techniques
James A. Freeman and David M. Skapura (both work for LORAL Space Info Systems,
Houston, TX and both are adjunct faculty of Univ of Houston)
C1991 Addison Wesley
ISBN 0-201-51376-5
$47.50
