Just a small query-cum-suggestion. I find most of the postings
in this group very hard to follow thanks to the sheer number of
abbreviations in use. That is, when one is not very familiar
with the literarature and the immense algorithms in use.
But on the otherhand, I find the signal-to-noise ratio quite
high here compared to many other groups and so I would certainly
like to keep my eyes open here.

So the question is 'Is there any list of the kind of abbreviations
with explanation (plus possibly some references) available somewhere?'
And the suggestion is 'If not, can some thing like that be created
and added to the FAQ for the newsgroup?'.
