In an arcane scroll, Alexander Williams quotes the holy scripturist
Anselm Hook, replying to the mystic words as written, saying:

>I wonder how hard it would be to write a program that ports tierra
>instructions into ones that'll run native on various system architectures?
>
>You'd probably have to give each tierran a mini-reaper and suchlike; and
>maybe some handles on the new space.

You'd have to, essentially, reimpliment the entire
Tierra.architecture for the Tierran to live in, and by that time,
you might as well be running Tierra altogether. Why bother doing
the emulation of an emulation?
You COULD tweak the Tierra.architecture to mimic another
machine's... but you're talking about a complete removal of the
architecture and rewriting it, sans templates et al. Not a pretty
picture.
