In article <3gtddp$crg@bambi.zdv.Uni-Mainz.DE> knappen@kph.Uni-Mainz.DE (Joerg Knappen) writes:

I'm afraid that esperanto (or any other constructed language) will immediately
cease to be easy learnable after becoming the official language of the EC.
The reason is, that it will be used for legal slang, and legal slang is very
hard in all languages I know. Therefore I think the best choice will be latin,

Who cares? Let the bureaucrats create their slang and use it. It won't have
any effect on the everyday language spoken among ordinary people.
