AL>Is it possible to make "EXE" files from VP-Expert Shell ?

Haven't seen much since VP-Expert (VPX) was sold, but generally
not. VP-Expert is interperted. It used to be possible to buy a
run-time license, which would convert the VP-Expert knowledge
base to a version that would run without the full VP-Expert.
But, this was not a .EXE file.

AL>Is it possible for VP-EXpert to link to external database ?

Yes, within limits. The last version I saw (2.x) allowed
linakge to dBase files and .wks spreadsheet files. VPX also
included commands to handle direct reads and writes without
        displaying the file.

AL>How flexible is knowledge representation in VP-Expert ?

It uses rules and backward chaining. It is possible to code a
forward chain command to force forward chaining.

Good luck on your VP-Expert project! I always liked VPX, but
couldn't find many places to use it.
