From the talk I went to, we were told it works by that there are a certain 
number of sprite parts, like small light brown left arm, green large leg etc, 
which is controled by genetics, so a norn could have similar colours to its 
parents but won't grow a third leg as a mutation because there is no sprite 
for it.
