"kernel" contains the Elk Reference Manual.  It describes the
functionality of the Scheme interpreter kernel.

"man" contains a manual page for the interpreter.

"xlib" and "xt" hold the reference manuals for the Xlib and Xt
extensions to Elk.

"oops" describes the simple object oriented programming tool that
is available by evaluating "(require 'oops)" in Elk.

"ex" contains documentation that describes in tutorial form how
extensions to Elk are written.

"paper" contains a draft version of a paper about Elk

"tmac" contains the troff macros and other utilities needed to
typeset the documentation.
