It has 28 academic staff, over 35 postgraduate research students, and about 500 undergraduate students. It offers a range of undergraduate degrees and postgraduate degrees spanning the spectrum of Computing and Information Technology. It provides extensive computing facilities including networked laboratories of PCs, Unix servers and workstations, SGI Indy workstations, access to the QPSF's IBM SP2 parallel supercomputer on the campus, and connection to the Internet. It hosts the Australian Software Quality Research Institute and is a participant in the CRC for Distributed Systems Technology.
