Macintosh Programmer Sought for Research Project on Collaborative Educational Software The Collaboratory Notebook project at Northwestern University is developing collaborative learning tools for use at the college and secondary school levels. The Collaboratory Notebook software is a networked Oracle database client application that is used to record and share work done in the course of open-ended learning activities. The current software is being used in universities, schools, and research facilities across the country. We are looking for a motivated programmer with initiative who is eager to work in a research environment on a team with professors, graduate students, and other professionals. Job title: Programmer Skills/Experience desired: BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent is required. Experience with as many of the following areas as possible is important: User-interface programming on a Macintosh. TCP/IP networking protocols and software. Oracle databases and SQL. C/C++ Common Lisp Job function: Primary responsibilities will be programming and testing. Will be responsible for writing and maintaining current documentation on the software.
