   SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER POSITION OPEN AT COGNITION CORPORATION

Cognition Corporation located in Bedford, MA is currently seeking a
skilled UNIX C/C++ software engineer to lead the design and
development of their Costlink product.  The job responsibilities
include the design, implementation, testing and maintenance of the
entire Costlink product.  This is not an entry-level position.

Costlink provides an interface between Cognition Corporation's Cost
Advantage, an Expert System for providing Cost and Manufacturability
data early on in the design cycle of a manufactured product, and
various Feature-based CAD solid modelers, such as Parametric
Technology Corporation's Pro Engineer.

The desired candidate should possess:

        o a minimum of 5 years INDUSTRY-LEVEL software development
          experience with at least 3 years working in C and/or C++
          in a UNIX environment (required)

        o experience in the total life-cycle of a product, from the
          analysis and design phase, through implementation, testing
          and maintenance (required)
 
        o excellent written and verbal communication skills (required)

        o a minimum of 2 years project leadership experience (required)

        o familiarity with the CAD industry in general and
          Feature-based solid modeling in particular (preferred)
 
        o Lisp experience (preferred)
 
        o familiarity with language-design issues including experience
          with parsers and parser-generators (preferred)
 
        o experience interacting with customers to handle training and 
          support issues (preferred)
