Of particular interest are applicants with expertise in Bayesian networks and blackboard systems. The KBS group is part of the Beckman Artificial Intelligence Group which is the primary center of artificial intelligence research at the University of Illinois, with 12 faculty members from departments across campus and over 52 graduate students. We seek someone who will be an active researcher and can assist with leading a research group. Candidate must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field. This is a full time, 12-month academic professional position. The University of Illinois has a comprehensive benefits package. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. These positions are grant-funded; reappointments are contingent on continued funding. The current funding in place is for three and a half years. The positions are open until filled.
