Lines: 85 Message-ID: <26hknh$ln2@coyote.iss.nus.sg> NNTP-Posting-Host: coyote.iss.nus.sg CALL FOR PARTICIPATION FIRST ASIAN FUZZY SYSTEMS SYMPOSIUM '93 EXHIBITION In conjunction with the First Asian Fuzzy Systems Symposium '93, a Product Exhibition will exhibit state-of-the art or state-of-the-practice commercial tools and environments, pre-released product prototypes and advanced academic research prototypes. The exhibition consists of two main activities,namely the product exhibition and product presentations. The venue of the exhibition will be in the same location where the main events take place. The schedule of the exhibition is well integrated to the main event to maximise audience participation. The tutorial and workshop participants will have the opportunities to see the demonstrations, hands-on evaluation, and listen to the presentations on how the tools could improve your software development effort. As AFSS '93 participants are professionals experienced in the research, development or application of Fuzzy Systems, the product exhibitors will benefit from participating in such an event to reach out to the right type of audience and potential customers who are here just for AFSS. The total number of attendance for the symposium is expected to be between 100 to 120, and the number for the tutorials is about 100. Product Exhibition Logistics The exhibition would be held from November 23 to 25, 1993. Exhibits are to be put up on November 22 and dismantled on November 26. Each exhibitor will be provided with a 8' x 8' booth separated by partitional panels, suitable for display of posters and other marketing material. Each booth will be labelled with the exhibitor's company name. Within the booth, 2 tables (approximate proportions of 5' x 21/2'), chairs and two power sockets (230V/50Hz) will be provided. Each exhibitor will be provided with lunch and tea breaks for up to two persons. Additional lunches and tea breaks may be ordered at least two days in advance at S$20 or US$33 per person. In addition, each exhibitor may register one participant to the symposium without any charge. Additional participants may register at 20% off the normal registration fees of S$650 / US$400 for the symposium and S$485 / US$300 for the tutorial sessions. Presentation rooms will be provided and to be shared among all exhibitors for their scheduled presentations. The sizes of the rooms are varied and could accomodate between 10 to 20 persons. By request, and subject to availability, larger presentation rooms might be arranged. Each presentation room will consist of one overhead projector but only limited rooms will have the RGB to workstation projectors. Meeting rooms are also available through a booking system. An exhibitors' listing will be included in the symposium proceedings. Each exhibitor will be given a full-page advertisement in the proceedings without charge. Product Exhibition Fees Exhibitors will be required to pay an exhibition fee of S$3,000 or US$1,900. Confirmation of participation is upon immediate payment of exhibition fee.
