I'm lost. The world of dsp and its language is just too much for this
computer science undergraduate. All I need is an algorythm to shift
the pitch of a speech signal up or down to provide intonation for my
speech synthesiser. I would prefer that this be achieved without
chipmunk or large monster type effects, I think I mean without
changing the harmonic properties of the signal. But then, that is one
of the problems, I don't know how to express what I want in DSP speak,
so any text I consult is not accessible to me.

So, has anyone any algorythms/ftp sites/keywords/advice etc. please.

Thanks.
