                     Applications Development Position
                     *********************************


IRCAM is a leading non-profit organization of musical creation, r&d and
education in acoustics and music, located in the center of Paris (France),
next to the Pompidou Center.  A position is immediately available in the
analysis-synthesis group for 6 months (detailed activities of IRCAM and
its groups on our WWW server, http://www.ircam.fr).

The candidate will develop digital signal (sound) processing and visualisation
tools on Unix platforms, in C and/or C++, under X/Motif/Open-GL. 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
===================

 o Good experience in C and C++ programming on Unix platforms under
   X11/Motif/OpenGL of medium-sized projects 
 o High productivity, methodical work, excellent programming style 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE
==================

 o Experience in digital signal processing 

SALARY AND TERM
===============

13,200 FFrs/month (before tax) + 10% paid vacations

Now, to start November 1st. EEC WORKING PAPERS REQUIRED: in order to
start on said date, the candidate must have EEC citizenship or already
own valid EEC working papers.
