1)

A couple of people have sent me messages recently saying that they have been
receiving double copies of ECTL recently. It seems that this is an intermitant
problem with our mailer. And it seems that it's not always affecting the same
persons. I am addressing the problem and hopefully everything will be back to
normal soon. Sorry for any inconvenience. I'd also like to hear from you if
you should receive more than one copy of this issue of ECTL. Thanks.

- David.

This is all I know. Sensimetrics is based in Cambridge (Massachusetts,
USA).

Sensimetrics (617-225-2442) is selling a Klatt-based synthesizer for IBM
PCs, Macs, Suns and Nexts for $300 to researchers. "We created SENSYN so
that a very high quality formant synthesizer, including its full source
code, could be made freely available to the international speech research
community."

See ad in J. Acoustical Soc Am. Vol 92, No 4, Part 2, Oct 92, pg. xxvii for
slightly more details.

Barry.

You should check with Sensimetrics Corp. in Cambridge Mass., USA.

They have made a low-cost product based on the Klatt synthesizers. I
believe source is available from them.
