Dear Netland,
	I've got a final year project in to me to make an environmental
control and simple speech unit for a disabled youngster. The student
has done a good job with the report and the env control but for the last
six months there has been no success obtaining simply programmed speech
synthesis chips. There was a plan to use Votrax SC-01 & SC-02 chips but
they're now unavailable here. Plans to try the Texas Instruments
TSP50C4X family foundered on the agents requirements that 100 units were
minimum order.  I have little info on Microchip SP0264 & Sp0256A;
National MM54104 & Signetics MEA8000 other than that the student was
told none of these was now being manufactured.
	All I want to do is to store up to 8 messages that can be
replayed at the press of a button from the portable unit. I'm very open
to suggestions as it is a major detraction from the final product for
the client.
	God Bless,  Lloyd.
