Hi,
I'm looking for a portable speech communication aid for
the vocally handicaped. I've began my research in this
newsgroup by a breif explanation :

> ...
>Explanation : a friend is now at the hospital following a big
>operation. They had to remove his vocal cords, tongue and pharinxis;
>so no more chance to speek forever. I known there is a portable
>hardware product, where the input is a keyboard and output is a
>synthesized speach. I'm looking for this piece of hardware, the
>synthesized language should be french, the distributor in europe,
>preferably Switzerland. ( No matter where the product is made ).
> ...

I've received some helpfully informations, and I thanks all the
people who mail me.

I continue to get more hints now about :

	- "Poketstem" developped in Holland
on that it exist an doctoral thesis of Dr. Waterham at
	  the Eindhoven University (1989)

	- "DECTalk" developped by DEC in Maynard, Mass., USA

	- The product of InfoVox in Sweden

Best regards to all.
