I would like to send data out through the serial port of my computer and
receive data in. In particular, so I can write my own programs for a GPS
unit. I have tried connecting two computers with a null modem cable to their
respective serial ports. I then typed "copy con com1:" on the transmitting
computer and "copy com1: con" on the receiving computer but it did not work.
(This was just so I could test that my program would be outputting the
correct data.) Does anybody know why? Can anyone give me some short code
(prefrably C or Fortran but anything will do) so that I can do this. It is
driving me crazy. You can send it ti me at jag@aero.ae.su.oz.au

Thanks in advance
Yours sincerely
Jeremy Randle
