I am working on a project using the 68HC11 to control small
(1.5 amp, 24 V) DC servo motors. PID parameters will be entered
through a keypad and displacyed on an LCD. However, I would like
to capture voltages to the motor using a digital oscilloscope to
reinforce the theory behind PID control. This eliminates the use
PWM control unless I use an integrator circuit to convert the
voltage signals. This won't work very well.

I am looking for relatively simple circuits to convert output from
the 68HC11 to analog DC motor control, eg. 8- or 12-bit DAC, power
op-amp, H-bridge IC. Any suggestions are appreciated.

The project will be used in a control theory course.

Thanks.
