But can you write it? Reading languages (like Interlingua) related to 
languages you know (French, Latin, or even English) is always much, much 
easier than writing. Io pote auxsi attemptare scribere en Interlingua, 
but it would probably be rubbish. Comprehensible rubbish, but still 
rubbish. 

Remember that the Latin vocabulary assimilated into non-Romance 
European languages is very large indeed. Official English looks more like 
Latin than German, hence the phrase "call a spade a spade, not an 
agricultural implement".
