The problem with Esperanto is that it is basically Latin-Celt-Tuton
centered. It ignores eastern europe and the rest of the world.
What an excellent predecessor to Maastwreckbation..

otoh, if you really want a common european language, the one that 
unites all of europe's heritage is greek.. of course the papacy
with all its fatimist bigotry (such as against Russia & Serbia)
would object..but that would be good..
