: They do look cool. I studied Hebrew for two semesters, and I enjoyed all
: of it. Anyone know where the modern Hebrew hand-written script came from?
: (Rabbinic script?)

Hebrew, Arabic, Greek, and others all came from the various semitic
scripts that developed between Egypt with its hieroglyphs and
Sumer/Assyria/... with its cuneiform.

And Latin came from Greek. Runes may have come from Greek.
And English from Latin and a few runes.
