I know.  I just thought that the language names might help to track
down the lost eleventh tribe in the memory of someone in the know.

Of the 10 names you mention, 9 are in the language list:
Atayal-Sedeq, Rukai, Tsou-Kanakanabu-Saaroa, Bunun, Paiwan, Puyuma,
Saisiyat, Ami and Thao.  

That would leave Kavalan and Pazeh as *possible* candidates for Yami 
and the lost 11th tribe, in my non-expert opinion...

I take it those names haven't rung a bell?
