Of course consciousness can be 'modeled' by something non-conscious that is
assuming it can be modeled at all. Of course this 'model' wouldn't
BE conscious, it would BE a model. If consciousness was 'modeled' by something
that WAS conscious(I don't mean conscious persons make the model, that a
different sense of 'modeled by') then it natually would BE conscious itself.

If what you were asking was more like. "Is the really big question can
consciousness be caused by something that was non-conscious?" We already know
the answer to this one... Your and my consciousness is caused by lots o' brain
parts(neurons, synapse, etc..)which are completely non-conscious.

If you want to know what consciousness is I can show you... Relax(or be tense I
don't care ), close your eyes(or open them it doesn't matter) ready....
..THERE IT IS!!! Thats consciousness!!
	I am absolutly serious...

Oh, that concern over 'I think Therefore I am'; Thinking is only a
sufficient condition not a necessary one. So it's ok not to think sometimes:-).
