Maybe I've missed something, but I cannot remember having read a definition on 
what 'common sense' is.

Is common sense equal to common knowledge? Is there something like common 
knowledge?

What made me wonder was the difficulty (to put it mildly) psychologists have 
in designing culture independent IQ tests.
