our new-zeland friend emphasize the fact that even if Kasparov has
been beaten four times the same day (31st August I think) it does not
mean that Kasparov would be consistently beaten by computers

this theory is the same that was developed in fr.comp.ia (no mistake,
French say ia and not ai) in september after Chess & Checkers loses

One of the contributor had the opportunity to play against Logistello
(best Othello program) and told us that after studying carefully the
way it played, he could get even score after several games

as already stated in comp.ai, games like go and bridge are still
badly played by computed . I personally think that pattern recognition
should be the next challenge to go programmers
