This phenomenon already occurs and is known as TROTIO: The Revolt Of
The Inanimate Objects. I guess the condition will have to be renamed
TROTSO: Sentient Objects, although the propensity for current failures
to happen at the most inconveniening opportunity indicates some level
of sentience already exists.
