Hi! I've been experimenting with the use of a GA driven front end to my
contrapuntal expert system which I use for finding spaces between
melodies. It uses a small pop as the expert system is
quite slow (3-4 minutes to test a member). It's been quite interesting,
although I've yet to use its results in an actual composition!

The front end takes a set of melodies and generates random spacings
between them and then sends them to the expert system. The number of 3
voice examples which the expert system finds determines
the longevity of the member in question.

The front end is written in Icon and it drives my expert system in C
which I run on my Amiga 3000 (68030-25 Mhz).
