Togai InfraLogic Introducts Fuzzy Logic for the SBus
             ----------------------------------------------------

Togai InfraLogic has developed the world's first SBus accelerator board for
fuzzy logic applications. The SBus Accelerator Board is a high performance
single board fuzzy logic accelerator designed for complex real-time fuzzy logic
applications on SBus based machines. Based on Togai InfraLogic's custom VLSI
RISC processor, the FC110 Digital Fuzzy Processor or DFP(tm), this board brings
a full range of fuzzy control system capability to SBus based equipment using
the latest in SMT and programmable array logic technology.

The SBus Board's on-board multi-processor capability allows for parallel
processing, giving control system designers the ability to provide speed and
performance for multiple, integrated control problems, with up to 440,000 fuzzy
rule evaluations per second. This includes full defuzzification and the
flexibility to define premise membership functions of arbitrary shape.

Fuzzy logic knowledge bases are compiled from a subset of FPL, TIL's Fuzzy
Programming Language, into FC110 machine code with the FC110 Development System
(FC110DS.) The TILShellt, a graphical software development environment
interfaces directly with the FC110DS. Combining the SBus Board, FC110DS and
TILShell on an SBus, Unix based computing platform, such as the Sun SPARC
workstation, provides the customer with a powerful, cost effective fuzzy
control system engineering workstation. Fuzzy hardware for the SBus will be
available Feb. 1, 1992.
