Abstract :
Intelligence has always defied accurate definition , this article
  attempts to define intelligence .
An application of the definition has not been given for lack of space.

Differentiation is the mathematical process of linearizing a curve , with
respect to a dimension .In essence , it amounts to ( colloquially ) , reducing
the system ( the curve ) to its fundamental essentials .
In our context , the fundamental essentials are the cerebral context of the
author of a system , in which the learner is trying to acquire ability to
manipulate facts and rules .A definition can be "defined " as a combination
of fundamental essentials logically conglomerated in a sentence , this explains
why definitions are invariably quoted .Abstraction is the understanding of what
the author is trying to say ( acquiring the cerebral context ,the author would
like us to have), whereas differentiation is one step further , we actually
acquire the author's motivations ( the cerebral context of the author when
he or she created the system ).

Naturally intelligent people do differentiation quite subconsciously ,hence
they are able to efficiently manipulate facts and rules without necessarily
explaining the process that did it.If we could explain this process to even
an extent we would have extracted the determinism in it , hence we would be
able to make it as far as possible , algorithmic .

To define intelligence , intelligence is the ability to be able to
#1 Apply differentiation on all valid possibilities of a system such that
only a few fundamental essentials ( or principles )remain .
#2 Produce all the valid possibilities of the system from the few
    fundamental essentials produced earlier.
#3 Produce valid possibilities of a different system given the fundamental
   essentials of other systems.
In fact #3 is a generalization of #2 . when #1 , #2 ,#3 are recursively applied
there is an enormity of systems that can be produced .
As an example ,consider the grammar systems in finite automata ,
a grammar ( say , context free ) is the fundamental essential of the
strings or valid possibilities of the system. The human does #1 to produce
the grammar required , the parser does #2 to find if the string is valid in
the language .The fundamental essentials can be called information or
even knowledge , since they can generate all the possibilities , provided the
right inference engine is available .
#3 can be explained in terms of homomorphisms.A homomorphism ( mathematically)
is a mapping from one algebraic system to another satifying
f(a*b)=f(a).f(b) where <A,*> and <B,.> are the algebraic systems .
The teacher helps the student build homomorphisms by giving examples .
How strong the mapping is ,relates to how many times #3 can be used .
