SERVICE OUTAGE: Kerberos Server Maintenance 2/26/2014

DAY/DATE: Wednesday, February 26, 2014

TIME: 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM

SERVICES AFFECTED: Instance Manager and password-changing services

DETAILS:

On Wednesday, February 26, 2014, SCS Computing Facilities staff will perform

maintenance on the Kerberos authentication servers (KDCs) to apply software

security updates. These servers provide authentication for UNIX logins,

WebISO, and most SCS services.

Normal Kerberos authentication services are expected to remain available

throughout the maintenance period. However, Kerberos administrative

services, including the Instance Manager, password-changing services, and

UNIX system installation, will be unavailable during this period.

Please contact the SCS Help Desk at x8-4231 or send mail to help@cs.cmu.edu

with any questions or concerns regarding this maintenance period.
