New SCS SquirrelMail Client Release

As a part of SCS Computing Facilities commitment to providing reliable and dependable service we are pleased to announce the new SquirrelMail client. The new client will be released on Wednesday March 26, 2008.

The machine webmail.cs.cmu.edu will be taken down at 6:00AM for one half hour to install the new client software.

SquirrelMail has been the primary web mail interface for the Corvid e-mail system for several years. SCS Computing Facilities has designed and implemented several new features for the Corvid e-mail environment.

New SquirrelMail features:

  • SquirrelMail now supports WebISO authentication
  • Message auto-expiration- A new feature for the Corvid e-mail system that gives the ability to automatically remove old messages from a folder.
  • Better navigation
  • Better client performance

To use the client go to:https://webmail.cs.cmu.edu

To login you can use either your CS main login credentials or your CS mail instance credentials.
