Color printing upgrades

January 21, 2004

SCS Computing Facilities is pleased to announce two significant upgrades in our color printing services.

  1. We have added a new high-speed, high-quality "public" color printer in NSH: RAINBOW, a Canon CLC2400, NSH-3202, available for use by all members of SCS (i.e., everyone who has an active user account from SCS Facilities). We hope that by adding this printer, this will be much more convenient for users located in NSH, Smith Hall, and related locations.
  2. We have upgraded SPECTRUM, in Wean: we replaced the old unit with a new, higher speed, higher quality printer, a Canon CLC4000, same location (WeH-4215). The early user reports are very positive about the print quality and the speed!

Both of these machines are online now and ready for your use!

There is no separate charge (and no per-page charge) to use these printers; these services are provided as part of your SCS user account. These upgrades will not produce a rate increase.

A reminder: These printers are intended for your SCS-related work only.

As always, we'd be grateful for your feedback; please contact us at
