Changing Saved Passwords in the iPass client

All SCS users must use their SCS /remote instance and associated password to authenticate on an iPass network. To change your username and password on these clients refer to the instructions below.

Windows iPass Client username and password configuration

  • Open the Open Mobile program.
  • Enter your username/remote for username (e.g. example/remote).
  • Enter your /remote instance and password and click OK
  • Check "Save Password" and close.
  • Choose "cs.cmu.edu" for domain.

Mac iPass Client username and password configuration

  • Open the Open Mobile application
  • Click preferences then choose "Accounts".
  • Enter your username/remote for username (e.g. example/remote).
  • Enter your /remote instance and password and click OK
  • Choose "cs.cmu.edu" for domain
  • Check save password and click "OK"
