Method evaluations [30% of the final grade]: Two written evaluations of how well a particular method implements fundamental principles of software design.

Project [20%]: the evaluation of methods for application to a specific project.

Homework [30%]: A series of exercises to help learn portions of methods. Homework will be graded either -, check, or +. A `-` means that you fall short of an acceptable answer, a check means that the answer is acceptable, and a `+' means that your answer really impressed us positively.

Quizzes [10%]: Occasional short exams on the day's reading material. The frequency is dependent on the level of competent participation in class.

Participation [10%]: An evaluation of the ability and willingness to knowledgeably participate in class discussions. Attendance is counted here.
