I want to change part of a design
- Keep interface running, change function
- Reduce configuration time
- Virtualize
Not on a Xilinx 4000:
- Segmented Wires
- Powering of pass transistors
- To avoid Vt drop, Xilinx uses a “charge pump”
- Whole scan path is either in program or run mode
