It would be very helpful if students would have taken these mathematics courses or equivalents:
Mathematics 21-341/342 Linear Algebra I & II
Mathematics 21-373 Algebraic Structures
However, the Mathematical Sciences Department has changed the course structure, and students often do not have time to fit in too many electives. Enrollenment is probably best obtained by consent of the Instructor.
