This assigment was to build a pinhole camera and capture images with said camera. Below are pictures of our camera and the images we captured

Pinhole Camera

Two Scenes with 0.1mm, 1mm and 5mm (respectively)

Scene 1: Hamerschlag Hall and the Cathedral of Learning

Scene 2: The University Center

With 0.1mm and 1mm pinhole sizes we needed to use the max exposure (30 seconds) for a decent result. With 5mm, we only needed a couple seconds (3-5) for a good image. We beleive the color response is worse in the smaller pinholes because with a longer exposure, any leaked light caused a 'wash-out' effect. From these results we decided that the 1mm pinhole was the best. While the colors weren't as good, the 1mm images were in better focus and we thought that was more important.
