Results

Below are the images for my project.

The original images shown below were first resized such that the maximum dimension of each image was limited to 500 pixels. Afterwards, all the images were resized such that the maximum dimension measured 300 pixels. The energy function I used consisted of taking the grayscale of the absolute value of the gradient of the given images.

Failures: Two particular images shown below that did not turn out as well as the other images include the house and the couch. As shown below, the house seems as if it was shrunken in width. Unlike the other images, it's relative proportion seems unnatural. The problem that came up with the couch include that the resulting image has a different perspective from the original. More importantly, I consider it a definite failure because the straight lines in the original image are now distorted and crooked.
