In
this project we a model a scene in 3D from a single photograph. The
scene is assumed to have one-point perspective and the scene objects
are assumed to be planar. A GUI is used to define the planes of
the 3D structure and the position of the vanishing point. The
dimensions of the 3-D box structure is extracted based on the vanishing
point and an assumed focal length. The image areas corresponding to
these planes are then mapped on to the sides of the box to recreate a
3D rendering of the scene.
