Scope

This scope of this exam includes all lecture material from this semester. Approximately half of the exam will emphasize material that is new since last exam -- lecture #20 through last class. The other piece of the exam will be cumulative and will attempt to hit the "high points" from the prior two exams.

Preparation

We strongly suggest that you work the prior exams and check your answers against the provided solutions. Although time is not symmetric around the present, the recent past is a reasonable predictor of the near future. This semester's exam will not be the same as prior year's exams, but it will have similar educational goals and flavor.

We also suggest that you work all of the relevant practice problems and the assigned homework problems before the exam. Solutions to the practice problems are available in your textbook. Solutions to the homework problems are available via the Web.

We also recommend catching up on reading and reviewing the slides, if you have fallen behind.

Please also remember that our in-class discussion more closely followed the new chapters of the textbook. You may want to print them and bring them to the exam, if you have been using them regularly.

Exam Review

There will be a Q&A session on the Wednesday evening before the exam at 7:00PM. The room will be announced via email shortly.
