Jewish Apple Cake

Grandma Bordy's Apple Cake:

Ingredients:
2  cups sugar
3/4 cups oil
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
pinch of salt
2 apples sliced thin and 1/2 cup cinnamon and sugar

Directions:0ar to oil and beat, add eggs one at a time, add vanilla.  Combine
flour, baking powder, salt.  Add to first mixture alternately with the
milk.  Pour 1/2 batter into ungreased pan.  Put layer of sliced apples
over batter.  Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.  Add remainder of
batter.  Sprinkle more sugar, cinnamon and nuts (if you like).

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
