C.A.R.E.^* Tekkotsu Robotics Workshop

Part of the 2006 Computer Science Olympiad at Spelman College A four-hour hands-on introduction to AIBO programming. Saturday, April 1, 2006 - 10:00 am to 3:00 pm (with lunch break), Tapley Hall 232 Free registration for faculty and staff of any school participating in the C.A.R.E. Olympiad. Featuring the Tekkotsu application development framework created at Carnegie Mellon University. Find out about "Cognitive Robotics", a new approach to robot programming. Have fun with AIBO! *C.A.R.E., a joint project of Spelman College and Carnegie Mellon University, promotes Computer and Robotics Education for African-American students.

Instructors: David S. Touretzky is Research Professor of Computer Science and co-director of the graduate training program of the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition at Carnegie Mellon University, where he heads the Tekkotsu project. Andrew B. Williams is Assistant Professor of Computer and Information Sciences at Spelman College, and advisor to the Spelbots robosoccer team, featured on CNN and CBS News.
