Project 5: Single View Reconstruction

In this project we construct a 3d model from a single image using the TIP method by Horry et al.

The steps of the process are as follows.
1) The user specifies the back plane and the vanishing point.
2) The image is divided into 5 planes (back, ceiling, floor, left, right).
3) Each plane is cut and rectified to a frontal view.
4) The 3D coordinates of each plane is calculated.
5) The rectified planes are textured onto the 3D model.

Foreground object can be added to the scene by constructing a textured "billboard".
Alpha channels can be used to make the background of the billboard transparent.
