Travel Support

Limited funds will be available to support the travel of young investigators, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate students to attend the NIPS conference. Awards will be based on both merit and need. The amount of aid will generally not exceed $400 for domestic (US) travel; larger amounts may be available for participants travelling from overseas. Conference registration is not covered by travel awards.

Applications for travel grants must be submitted via this web page; please click here to access the application form. Deadline for submission is Friday, October 15. Award recipients will be notified by email in late October. Travel award checks in US dollars will be available at the conference's registration desk. A photocopy of the corresponding airline ticket will be required. Applications that arrive after the deadline will be kept in a separate file, and will be considered only if any awarded travel funds are left uncollected at the conference.

Graduate students interested in doing volunteer work at the meeting in exchange for a registration fee waiver should consult the Volunteer Work web page. Only a limited number of openings are available in this program.
